DECEMBER 2025

Hey again! It's been quite a bit.
We got offtrack from the bimonthly schedule we had before, mainly due to the break we had in November.

But, that break gave me the motivation to work on the game more efficiently, even if just by a bit.

- Since September -

Some edits have been made to Uffi's design. We're still working on the final design, but we've got a work-in-progress to show.


We've partially integrated this design of the character into the current version. See below:

Light World:


Main changes were to their anatomy, since I feel that their sprite looked off. I did edit the original July 2025 sprite of them to achieve this sprite.

- Concepts -

We've got a few new concepts we'd like to share!

In the latest teaser on the Discord, if you're in the server you may have seen a teaser for a new character.

That new character in question? Well... it was redesigned before ultimately getting scrapped. Here's the new design if you still want to see it.



This is a character that was made for a scrapped take on a former co-leader's idea.

If you've been around since I was working on DELTARUNE: Reimagining, you would probably recognize the name "World Watcher". That's the character that this concept was built around. However that character was also owned by the former co-leader, hence why I'm not using it.

There were very specific requirements you needed to attain in order to even get to this boss.

Here's another concept, this time a mockup of the Light World Item menu.

- Coding Update -

As of writing this segment (12-9-2025), we've restarted work on the engine again. But there IS a bit of good news.

We've gotten another programmer on the project's team, which should at least increase development speed by a bit.

- Progress Update -

Overall, we've done quite well. 

We've gotten ideas for the area/subareas in the Chapter 1 Dark World. As of writing this (11-29-2025) I've written concept names for the Dark World areas in Chapter 1.

I feel like we may be using the names I came up with for the actual game. Might cut some subareas since I tend to overfill the things I write with content.

I'd like to say that there is currently a similar area to that of the Field of Hopes & Dreams right now. "Forgotten Meadows". No concept art has been made of this area yet, but I'll try not to make it too similar.

- Overall Progress -

Despite a lack of help on the project, I'd say we've done quite well! Same team as last time, though most of them have been quite busy with real world things.

- Conclusion -

That's all for this devlog. To sum it up:

- Uffi's design has been tweaked again.
- We showcased a redesigned version of a scrapped character (The Overseer)
- Engine rewrite and a new programmer hired.

- A concept has been shown.
