Welcome back! It's been quite some time since the December newsletter.

We've been at work developing the game, but development's been slower.
First, I'd like to go over what's gone down since the last update.

Just note, there will not be any new content in this devlog. Just a general
update this time around.

- Since December -

That anniversary event I mentioned? It was only a showcase
of some old content.

Besides that, progress has slowed down a bit. Back in January, the new
programmer needed to resign from his position.

We appreciate his contributions to the game's engine and wish him well
on his future endeavors.

Other than that, development has been slower due to a lack of
ideas on my behalf. Which brings us to this next part.

- Team Applications -

We've had them open for quite a long time at this point.

We're looking for:
- Pixel Artists (Overworld, Battle,
UI, Textbox Portaits, etc.)
- Digital Artists (Promotional & Concept)
- Programmers capable of coding entire
systems and/or cutscenes (In GameMaker)
- Musicians (Overworld, Battle, etc.)
- Sound designers
- Character desginers
- Bullet pattern designers
- Writers
- Animators
- Voice Actors (Credits
themes, SFX like Jevil/Spamton)

So... pretty much anyone.

For a better chance at getting into the team, submit
examples of your work that seem like they'd fit into
the official Deltarune.

For sprites, look at our official screenshots.

For music, we'd want tracks like these:
Black knife LW unfinished, by toosday.
A Room for the Two of Us, by fizz.
Accept Everything (Battle 3), by Lunaxis.
Land of Shattered Hope, by Punkipatch.
Welcome To the Underground, by Lev Nemean.

When writing, I want it to feel mostly canon. Of course, with
Deltarune fan-games, you can't exactly stay 100% true to
canon when writing new stuff in. After all, the official game
is still in development, so of course there will be times when Prophecy
Retold's lore doesn't match up with lore from official content.

I hope you can understand that.

Now then, if you can provide canon-ish contributions to the project, please
feel free to apply!


Keep in mind, you must be 15 or older to be considered for the team. Any younger
and you will not be considered.

Now then, onto more interesting things.

- Progress Update -

We've gotten progress on the launcher and the new engine.

Recently I've realized I can actually make decent music, so there
will be more music content shown for the game in the future.

Also, if you've been around for awhile, you'd notice that I have
updated the website recently.

The reason I did this is not entirely because I thought it would look
better...

It's because I reset my PC and forgot to back up the project file
for the website. A mistake on my part, but at least I have the game backed
up on GitHub.
